VW-1104 Features

  • Intel Atom N270 CPU 1.6GHz
  • 4-channel full D1 video encode
  • H.264 AVC/SVC hardware encode
  • Supports NTSC and PAL video input
  • One internal 2.5″ HDD bay
  • Up to 2GB DDR2 400/533 MHz SDRAM
  • 4 alarm-input and 2 relay-output, 1 RS485, 12V DC
  • Gigabit Ethernet
  • Scalable Video Coding (SVC)

The VW-1104 includes four BNC inputs for capturing CCTV video and an onboard H.264 codec chip to convert video streams to high quality, highly compressed H.264 video. This allows the VW-1104 to serve as a very compact surveillance system that can be installed in moving vehicles. The Lanner VW-1104 is currently available in limited supply for sample orders.

The Lanner VW-1104 features HDMI and VGA video outputs, H.264 video compression, G.711 audio compression, gigabit Ethernet, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, 3G wireless supporting UTMS and W-CDMA interfaces, and a GPS receiver for location tracking. In addition, the VW-1104 includes wide power input range (10-36V), dual power in via DC jack and Phoenix contact, and 12V DC / 1Amp out to power peripherals such as cameras and sensors.

Other hardware specifications include an internal 2.5″ hard drive bay, CompactFlash socket, four USB 2.0 ports, two high speed serial UARTs, an RS-485 serial port, alarm/relay, and 1GB DDR2 memory IC onboard (expandable to 2GB via So-DIMM).

The VW-1104′s Intel Atom N270 CPU speeds time to market for application developers. The 1.6GHz processor delivers sufficient processing power for a wide range of applications while drawing very little power, enabling completely fanless system design. The fanless design results in improved reliability essential for mobile deployment.

Lanner includes a SDK and reference software to help engineers get started even more quickly. The EyeShot 2000 Control Panel software provides basic features for camera control, PTZ, file storage and streaming, as well as advanced features including motion detection, night detection and scalable video coding. The system supports Linux and Windows, and the SDK includes features for alarm I/O, streaming, RS-485 control and display.
