Moxa W406 RISC Wireless Embedded Computer

The Moxa W406 RISC-based wireless embedded computer features two software selectable RS-232/422/485 ports, an Ethernet port, a SD socket, USB host, four digital input and four digital output channels, four DI/DOs, GSM/GPRS/EDGE, and support for SMS. The embedded computer enables seamless communication and management with industrial applications. The Moxa W406 is ideal for industrial applications such as data acquisition, data processing, protocol conversion, and remote device control and monitoring via wireless communication.

Moxa W406 RISC-based wireless embedded computerW406 supports Linux and Windows CE. The W406 offers quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/850/1900 MHz and an SMS tunnel mode, allowing engineers to receive the latest information and status from field sites in real-time. With W406′s wireless features, network systems can use long-range cellular applications to extend their reach and users can create peer-to-peer, distributed wireless communication with embedded systems by converting traditional wired devices to wireless to provide higher mobility and greater intelligence.

In addition to the standard model, there is a W406-T model that supports operating temperature from -40° to 70°C to ensure stability when used in harsh industrial environments.
