MSC EXM-IMX35 CPU Module
The EXM-IMX35 CPU module, from MSC Vertriebs is higher integrated and more cost-efficient version of the MSC EXM-IMX31. The board features a form factor of 65 x 90 mm, high computing performance, and extreme low power consumption. The module complies with the open EXM32 system-on-module specification defined by MSC. The MSC EXM-IMX35 CPU module integrates a Freescale i.MX35 processor based on an ARM11 Core with a clock frequency of 533 MHz. On-board standard DDR2 memory with a maximum capacity of 256 MB as well as up to 64 MB NOR and up to 4 GB NAND Flash memory are available.

- MPEG4 decoding hardware enables the replay of videos (for video presentations in POI applications)
- Two USB 2.0, two UART ports, two FlexCAN 2.0B interfaces
- 10/100 Base-T Ethernet connection
- Optional, real-time Ethernet with IEEE1588 PHY
- Two I2C interfaces
- AC97 audio interface
- 8-bit camera port
- System can be extended via 16 GPIO signals, SPI interface, and processor bus (accessible by the baseboard connectors)
- Two Compact Flash and one SD/MMC interfaces
- Operate in the temperature range from -40°C to +85°C without any active cooling
- High resistance to shock and vibration
- Meets the automotive specification DIN EN 60068 (Environmental Conditions for Electrical and Electronic Equipment for Road Vehicles)
For evaluation and design-in of the powerful MSC EXM-IMX35 module, MSC offers special development platforms and starter kits. Board Support Packages (BSPs) are available for the operating systems Windows CE and Linux, and upon request also for QNX.
