Wi2Wi W2SG0006 GPS Module

The Wi2Wi W2SG0006 offers the enhanced performance features required by GPS applications along with ease of integration and development support. The device is based on the CSR/SiRF Technologies SiRFStar III LPx architecture. The W2SG0006 is ideal for personal navigation devices, mobile internet devices (MID), ultra-mobile (UMPC) and ruggedized PCs, automotive aftermarket GPS systems, and other medical, industrial, and defense systems that feature GPS capability.

W2SG0006 Features

  • Compact Surface Mount Design (SMD) for easy integration: 15mm x 15mm x 2.5mm
  • Fast acquisition time and high sensitivity GPS Receiver

  • 50O Antenna Launch, allows use of either active or passive antenna
  • 20 channel GPS receiver
  • Multi-path Mitigation
  • Uses NAVSTAR GPS L1 C/A signal
  • SBAS (WAAS, ENGOS and MSAS) support
  • Single 3.3 VDC supply input
  • Two Configurable UART Interfaces
  • Available Software accelerator for improved sensitivity: Satellite acquisition and tracking
  • Format Selectable Output Data: NMEA, SiRFBinary and AI3/F
  • Compatible with SiRF Technologies GSW3 Software
  • RoHS Compliant

The W2SG0006 features an operating current of only 30 milli-amps, ultra-fast Time-To-First-Fix, internal battery back-up RAM for position memory, small form factor, and high receive sensitivity. The device requires minimal external components and can be integrated quickly and easily into most applications. The W2SG0006 device is supported with Test/Evaluation Boards which are in full production and commercially available.
