Analog Devices Launches New SHARC Processors
Analog Devices, Inc. (NYSE: ADI) broadened its new fourth generation SHARC® family by introducing a series of processors for industrial and instrumentation, automotive audio, and home theater applications. Sharing the same higher-performance design as the pro audio version of the SHARC 21469 (commercial temperature range) introduced in October, at up to 450 MHz/2700 MFLOPS these newest processors more than double the total computational performance of the previous SHARC generation.

Texas Instruments Introduces MSP430 Microcontroller
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) announced the new CC430 technology platform offering the industry’s lowest power, single-chip radio-frequency (RF) solution for microcontroller-(MCU) based applications. The CC430 platform helps advance applications including RF networking, energy harvesting, industrial monitoring and tamper detection, personal wireless networks and automatic metering infrastructure (AMI).

Ramtron Introduces F-RAM FM28V100 1-megabit Parallel F-RAM
Ramtron International Corporation (Nasdaq: RMTR) launched the first parallel device in a family of new parallel and serial F-RAM products that offer higher-speed read/write performance, lower voltage operation, and optional device features. The newest device in Ramtron’s V-Family of F-RAM products is the FM28V100, a 1-megabit (Mb), 2.0V to 3.6V, parallel nonvolatile RAM in a 32-pin TSOP-I package that features fast access, NoDelay[tm] writes, virtually unlimited read/write cycles, and low power consumption.

JTAG Technologies Announces JT 2149/MPV Digital I/O Scan Module
JTAG Technologies, a leading world-wide provider of IEEE std. 1149 compliant boundary-scan products, has introduced the compact JT 2149/MPV Digital I/O Scan (DIOS) module; which debuts the company’s Scan-Configurable Interface Logic (SCIL) technology. Avago’s ACPL-782T automotive-grade isolation amplifier delivers superior isolation and common mode noise rejection (15kV/µs @ 1kV VCM typically). This device is designed with a wide operating temperature range and qualified to AEC-Q100 automotive stress test requirements and manufactured in compliance to TS16949, making it suitable for use in automotive applications.
