Flomerics Group Merges into Mentor Graphics Mechanical Analysis Division
Mentor Graphics Corporation, (NASDAQ: MENT) announced final completion of the acquisition of Flomerics Group PLC., a United Kingdom-based supplier of computational fluid dynamics analysis products. The Flomerics company will become the Mechanical Analysis Division headed by Gary Carter, former CEO of Flomerics, reporting to Henry Potts, vice president of Mentor Graphics and general manager of the Systems Design Division.

Simscape Extends Simulink for Modeling, Simulating Mechatronic
The MathWorks announced the availability of the Simscape language, a new capability that enables textual authoring of physical modeling components, domains, and libraries in the Simulink environment. The new language is included in Simscape, which extends Simulink for modeling and simulating mechatronic and other multidomain physical systems using a physical network, or acausal modeling, approach.

ADLINK Technology Rolls Out Express-NR COM Express Module
ADLINK Technology Inc. (TAIEX:6166), a global provider of trusted embedded products, releases the newest member of its Computer-on-Module family, the Express-NR, The Express-NR is a COM Express(TM) Type 2 module and supports both Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo, Core(TM) Duo and Celeron(R) M processors. Based on the Mobile Intel(R) 945GME Express Chipset, the Express-NR has very low power-consumption and is specially designed to facilitate speedy development of semi-custom designs.

National Instruments Debuts PXI-7853R, PXI-7854R R Series I/O Modules
National Instruments announced two new R Series I/O modules for the PXI platform to give design, control and test engineers increased onboard processing. These new modules provide engineers and scientists with commercial off-the-shelf hardware that can be graphically programmed with the NI LabVIEW FPGA Module to perform custom onboard processing for inline data analysis and deterministic I/O control for applications that require specialized timing and triggering.

Panasonic, Renesas Team on Development of SoCs for 32nm Process Node
Building on the successful partnership on their joint process technology development since 1998, Panasonic Corporation and Renesas Technology Corp. are now collaborating on the development of elemental process technologies for systems-on-a-chip (SoCs) of the next-generation 32-nm node. The two companies are confident that their 32-nm node transistor technology and other advances can soon be applied to products in mass production.

ZMD to Showcase Sensor Signal Conditioners at SAE Convergence Show
