GE Fanuc Rolls Out Telum ASLP11 Processor AdvancedMC Module
GE Fanuc Intelligent Platforms announced the Telum[tm] ASLP11 high performance processor AMC module. With up to 4 GBytes of ECC memory and currently featuring an Intel® Core[tm]2 Duo L7400 1.5GHz CPU (which will be regularly upgraded to take advantage of new processors from Intel), the ASLP11 is a single width, full- or mid-sized AMC processor board and is designed for distributed ATCA/MicroTCA processing applications.

Inphi Debuts INSSTE32882LV GS01 JEDEC DDR3 Registered Clock Driver
Inphi Corporation announced their JEDEC-compliant DDR3 Registered Clock Driver to support DDR3-1600 data rates at 1.35 V, +/- 5%. Inphi’s INSSTE32882LV-GS01 began sampling in March 2008 and has now completed all JEDEC recommended qualification requirements. Inphi’s low voltage DDR3 part delivers unmatched performance with the industry’s lowest tDYNOFF, tightly controlled propagation delay (tPD), excellent output jitter characteristics and quad-rank support.

Express Logic, Avnet Support Xilinx PowerPC 440 on Virtex-5 FPGA
Express Logic, Inc. and Avnet Electronics Marketing announced ThreadX® RTOS now supports the PowerPC[tm] 440 processor embedded in Xilinx Virtex-5[tm] FPGAs. The IBM PowerPC 440 core is a hard 32-bit RISC CPU processor immersed directly into the Xilinx Virtex FPGA fabric to implement high-performance embedded applications. The combination of the hard PowerPC 440 processor with coprocessing capability and high-performance Virtex-5 FPGA fabric enables a wide range of performance optimization options.

Mentor Graphics, Altera Team on DO-254 IP
Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) and Mentor Graphics Corporation (NASDAQ: MENT) announced the companies are working together to develop tools and methodologies for use in creating DO-254-certifiable intellectual property (IP) that targets Altera’s field programmable gate array (FPGA) and HardCopy® application specific integrated circuit (ASIC) solutions. Mentor will join Altera’s DO-254 Global Partner Network in order to establish design and verification best practices for DO 254-certifiable IP development and integration flows.
