VxWorks, Wind River Linux Support Intel EP80579 Integrated Processor
Wind River (NASDAQ:WIND) announced support for the recently unveiled Intel® EP80579 Integrated Processor product line with its market leading VxWorks real-time operating system and Wind River Linux, a commercial-grade Linux solution. The Intel EP80579 product line is the first in a series of Intel® architecture-based system on chip (SoC) processors delivering excellent levels of performance-per-watt for a variety of market segments.

Innovasic Semiconductor, a leader in extended life semiconductor solutions, announced production units are shipping for the IA186EB and IA188EB. The IA186EB and IA188EB are form, fit, and function compatible with the original Intel® 80C186EB, 80C188EB, 80L186EB, and 80L188EB 16-bit high-integration embedded processors. Additionally, they have been upgraded to operate at 5.0V or 3.3V. The Innovasic version operates up to 66 MHz at 5.0V and up to 55 MHz at 3.3V.
