Renesas Rolls Out Ten New H8SX Microcontrollers
Renesas Technology America, Inc. introduced ten new microcontrollers (MCUs) in the H8SX family that provide a faster analog-to-digital (A/D) converter and a more precise digital-to-analog (D/A) converter. The new 32-bit, 50MHz devices give embedded systems better analog signal-processing capabilities for interfacing to TFT displays, sensors, scanners, and other types of input/output elements found in PCs, digital consumer products, office automation (OA) and industrial equipment.

Aeroflex 3900 Features Motorola Auto-Test II for XTS-5000 Radio
Aeroflex has announced the release of new Motorola Auto-Test II test and alignment support for Motorola XTS-5000 radios. This new capability allows users of the Aeroflex 3900 Series to automatically test and align radios with minimum user intervention. The new software is available for all Aeroflex 3900 Series products currently in the field, including the 3901, 3902 and the new 3920 Series.

Quantum3D, Alta Data Announce Thermite 3 AltaCore-1553 Validation
Quantum3D, Inc. and Alta Data Technologies announced the successful validation testing of Quantum3D’s newest Thermite tactical visual computer to the SAE AS15531 MIL-STD-1553, AS4111 Remote Terminals (RT) Validation Test Plan. Actel Libero IDE 8.4 Features Power Reduction, Design Enhancements
Actel Corporation announced new power reduction and design creation enhancements to its Libero(R) Integrated Development Environment (IDE). Giving designers additional power supply options and enabling even lower power consumption, the new Libero IDE 8.4 offers an FPGA core operating voltage range from 1.14 to 1.575 volts for its flash-based IGLOO(R), IGLOO PLUS and ProASIC(R)3L field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs).

Telepath, Infineon, SMIC Power Mobile TV Devices for Beijing Olympics
