OKI Announces FSE Face Sensing Engine for Embedded Systems
Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd. (TOKYO:6703) announced its launch of a face recognition middleware for the surveillance market. The “FSE[tm] (Face Sensing Engine[tm]) Ver.4″ for embedded systems can detect faces and identify specific human beings from surveillance videos. OKI plans to offer an embedded video recognition module with a human tracking function shortly.

IMEC Announces Annual Research Review Meeting

American Portwell Expands Industrial PICMG 1.3 Backplanes
American Portwell Technology, Inc. has extended its family of industrial PICMG 1.3 backplanes for PICMG 1.3 system host boards (SHB).
