Check out the YouTube video of the Texas Instruments MSP430 16-bit RISC mixed-signal processors. The MSP430 platform is an ultra-low power solution for battery-powered measurement applications. In fact, the MSP430 ultra-low power microcontroller requires so little power that it can be powered by grapes, lemons, strawberrys, pears, and other fruits. If only our cars could be powered by pieces of fruit. That would be a dream come true for many people.
