TDK Develops GBDriver HS1 microSATA Solid State Drive Controller for SSD
TDK Corporation announced that it has completed development of the GBDriver HS1 solid state drive (SSD) controller for SSDs used in laptop PCs and industrial system hardware that employs PC platforms and completed commercialization and began shipments of the HS1 series of SSDs equipped with this controller. Currently, SSDs that use NAND flash memory are employed in industrial system hardware and laptop PCs.

TSMC Becomes First Foundry Member of IPL Alliance
The Interoperable PDK Libraries (IPL) Alliance announced that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has joined the Alliance as the first foundry member. The IPL Alliance is an industry-wide collaborative effort to create and promote interoperable process design kit (PDK) standards. A PDK is a comprehensive set of foundry-verified data files including PCells (parameterized cells) used in a complete analog and mixed signal design flow.

2008 International Conference on Computer Aided Design
