Numerical Algorithms Group Unveils NAG Toolbox for MATLAB
Electronics engineers and others needing powerful tools for optimization, modeling, and simulation can now use the NAG Toolbox for MATLAB®, released by the Numerical Algorithms Group. The Toolbox gives users access to more than 1,300 additional math and statistical algorithms within the MATLAB environment. This additional mathematical and statistical functionality was previously unavailable or accessible to MATLAB users only by purchasing multiple toolboxes.

NXP Launches BLC7G22L(S)-130 Base Station Power Transistor
NXP Semiconductors, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips, launched the BLC7G22L(S)-130 base station power transistor – the first of its products to feature NXP’s industry-leading Gen7 LDMOS technology – optimized for high power use and Doherty amplifier applications. The seventh generation Laterally Diffused Metal Oxide Semiconductor (LDMOS) technology from NXP enables the highest-efficiency LDMOS solutions available today.

Texas Instruments Announces New Voice over IP Gateway Solutions
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) [NYSE:TXN] announced the newest members of its Voice over IP (VoIP) gateway silicon and software solutions that will enable equipment manufacturers to achieve higher channel densities with improved voice quality. TI’s newest gateway solutions are powered by its TMS320C64x+[tm] digital signal processor (DSP) that significantly increases performance for VoIP and video encode, decode and transcode applications.

Analog Devices Rolls Out AD5750, AD5751 Output Drivers
Analog Devices, Inc, a leader in semiconductors for signal processing applications, introduced 2 analog output drivers that significantly improve the efficiency and reliability of process control applications, including those operating with high compliance voltages and temperatures. Using technological advancements enabled by ADI’s iCMOS industrial process technology, the AD5750 and AD5751 output drivers achieve a three-fold improvement in accuracy over competing solutions.

Liberty Technical Advisory Board to Grow Under IEEE-ISTO
Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS) announced that the Liberty Technical Advisory Board (TAB) is expanding under the auspices of the IEEE Industry Standards and Technology Organization (IEEE-ISTO). After an incubation period under the Silicon Integration Initiative (Si2), the move to IEEE-ISTO enables the expansion of Liberty TAB membership to include more participants from the semiconductor and electronic design automation (EDA) industries.

Red Bend Software Becomes Associate Member of LiMo Foundation
