RadiSys COM Express Starter Kits

Posted by Ken Cheung in Other on Wednesday, May 7, 2008

RadiSys Corporation (NASDAQ:RSYS) recently introduced a family of COM Express design starter kits that streamline COM Express product development. Manufacturers of equipment for imaging, industrial automation, gaming, and test & measurement applications can now obtain all the hardware they need for COM Express prototyping by using a single order code. RadiSys COM Express starter kits minimize installation requirements and reduce the amount of time design teams need to get development underway, helping to control pre-market cost and time requirements.

Each starter kit provides a COM Express module of choice, pre-assembled with memory, heat sink, and integrated onto a development carrier board with a hard disk drive and the necessary cables. No additional accessories are required, which reduces the time complexity of creating a development system by eliminating questions about component selection and suppliers. All installation is complete other than connecting the cables and supplying power. Product teams can begin prototyping within minutes of opening the box, helping to reduce the time products spend in development, for faster time to profitability.
