Digi International Acquires Sarian Systems
Digi International® Inc. (NASDAQ: DGII) announced the acquisition of Sarian Systems, Limited. a privately held U.K. based corporation and a leader in the European wireless router market. The acquisition is a cash transaction for approximately $30.5 million for all the outstanding ordinary shares of Sarian. The purchase price of $30.5 million takes into account cash on Sarian’s balance sheet as of the acquisition date, estimated to be $2.5 million.

Impulse C Compiler Supports Xilinx Virtex-5 FXT FPGA

Elma Electronic Rolls Out Type E37 Dual Concentric Encoder
Elma Electronic, a leading designer and manufacturer of rotary components and electronic packaging products, offers a new series Type E37 that is two encoders in one switch. The encoders are used in various industrial, communications, mil/aero, medical, and audio applications. The Type E37 features a dual concentric inner shaft and outer pole, allowing it to act as two encoders. This can save the space and cost of a second separate switch.
