Mercury to Sell Assets of Visage Imaging Embedded Services to Orgabit
Mercury Computer Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: MRCY), a leading provider of high-performance computing solutions for HPC and embedded computing markets, announced that Visage Imaging GmbH, a component of its wholly owned subsidiary Visage Imaging, Inc., has reached an agreement to sell the assets of its Embedded Services and Professional Services (ES/PS) businesses. ES/PS were part of Mercury’s acquisition of SOHARD AG in July 2005.

Timesys, Lineo to Develop Embedded Linux Solutions
Timesys Corporation, a provider of embedded Linux software solutions, and Lineo Solutions, Inc. announced a multi-year strategic alliance. Timesys and Lineo will develop and market embedded Linux solutions for the Japan marketplace based on LinuxLink. Combining the flexibility of LinuxLink with Lineo’s engineering and marketing expertise will provide embedded developers with a powerful suite of Linux software, tools and support for Japan’s most common processor platforms.

Advantest Announces T5503 High Throughput Memory Test System
Advantest Corporation (TSE: 6857, NYSE: ATE) announced its new T5503 high-throughput memory test system, boasting the industry’s highest parallel test capability of up to 128 devices. The T5503 was developed specifically to address the challenges of high-volume production test of next-generation high-speed DDR3-SDRAM memory. The memory tester will be available from August 2008.

Toshiba Selects Synopsys Sentaurus TCAD Simulation
Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS), a leader in software and IP for semiconductor design and manufacturing, announced that Toshiba Semiconductor Company has adopted Sentaurus TCAD software for simulating etching and deposition in the development of next-generation devices.
