IAR Offers Native Hardware Debug Support for Microchip MCUs, DSCs
IAR Systems has strengthened its support for Microchip Technology’s range of 16-bit PIC24 microcontrollers (MCUs) and dsPIC33F digital signal controllers (DSCs) by adding native hardware level debug support, through the inclusion of the Microchip MPLAB® REAL ICE(tm) In-Circuit Emulator System within its C-SPY® debugger, an integral component of IAR Embedded Workbench®.

VisSim/ECD 7.0 Supports TI TMS320F2833x Digital Signal Controllers
Visual Solutions Incorporated (VSI) announces the immediate availability of VisSim/ECD version 7.0 with support for Texas Instruments’ (TI) TMS320F2833x floating-point digital signal controllers (DSCs). Providing 300 million floating point instructions per second (MFLOPS) performance at 150 MHz, the F2833x devices bring higher performance and simpler software development to embedded applications such as industrial control, digital power supplies and advanced sensing.

MAZeT Announces New Embedded Computing Platform
The newest MAZeT product is a scalable, self-sufficient and modular embedded computing platform, based on a PowerPC processor (MPC5200), 4 FPGAs and Linux. The platform was first used as a hardware emulator for Interbus installations. Together with simulation software, Interbus can simulate the behaviour of networked automation systems and other systems structures in real time.
