Proven Software Solutions Rolls Out Element Control Software Platform
Proven Software Solutions Ltd, the electronics industry’s first independent broker for embedded software, has launched the Element Control Software Platform (ECSP), proven and tested C++ object-oriented IP that provides an application framework for managing tasks such as general purpose input/output, protocol handling, event handling and logging services in a broad range of network-based application systems.

Wicht Technologie Consulting Updates MEMS Oscillator Report
MEMS-based oscillators are finally beginning to leave the shelves in series. Already last year, close to 3 million MEMS oscillators shipped to end customers, says WTC – Wicht Technologie Consulting, which recently updated its research on the MEMS answer to quartz timing devices. Three companies are now delivering such devices. Discera and SiTime are manufacturing silicon MEMS oscillators, while Toyocom (part of Seiko Epson) produces micromachined quartz MEMS oscillators.

Tensilica CEO to Discuss Energy Breakthroughs in Chip Design
Chris Rowen, Tensilica CEO, will present “Energy Breakthrough in Chip Design: Big Challenges, Bigger Rewards” at the Globalpress Electronics Summit, on Monday, March 31. The presentation will highlight the ability to reduce energy consumption by combining multi-core design with optimized processors.
