ZMD Unveils SARah Low Power ADCs for Real-Time Applications
ZMD AG expanded its product portfolio with a complete family of successive-approximation (SAR) analog-to-digital converters (ADC). SARah is based on a scalable family concept enabling upwards and downwards compatibility. With a total of 28 members in all, the SARah family offers a wide range of configuration choices. Designers can select 8, 10, or 12-bit versions with internal or external voltage references. There are 2, 4, and 8-channel versions available.

Gauda Accelerates Optical Proximity Correction, Verification
Gauda, Inc. announced that it has demonstrated a breakthrough technology that can accelerate OPC (optical proximity correction) and OPV (optimal proximity verification) up to 200 times faster than traditional solutions, running on today’s desktop computers. Gauda achieves this acceleration without any specialized hardware or FPGAs, but by developing a new breed of algorithms utilizing CPUs and GPUs (graphical processing units) that are traditionally used for gaming.

Imsys Introduces IM3240 Device for IEEE1588 Clock Synchronization
With the advent of IEEE 1588 in combination with GPS and Imsys IM3240 MCU, synchronized time to nanosecond accuracy can now be a commodity for use in distributed systems. IEEE 1588, the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) entering its second revision in March, is now finding its way into a variety of applications. Processing waveforms within the instrument accelerates product design and verification cycles.
