Enea Rolls Out OSE v5.3 Real-Time Operating System

Renesas Technology Licenses ARM Processors
ARM [(LSE:ARM)]; (Nasdaq:ARMHY)], announced that ARM and Renesas Technology Corp have signed a subscription license that gives Renesas full access to all ARM® processor IP for future-generation products. The agreement also enables Renesas to obtain access to new ARM technology to meet demands for low-power system solutions for mobile applications, digital home electronics and office automation systems.

ARC International Acquires Sonic Focus
ARC International (LSE:ARK) announced that it has acquired Sonic Focus, Inc., a privately held U.S. company located in Northern California. Sonic Focus’s products recreate studio quality audio when audio fidelity has been degraded due to digital compression. Sonic Focus’s products are widely considered to have the most robust audio solutions for music enthusiasts, and bring natural surround sound to digitally compressed stereo files.

Vimicro Unveils Mobile Multimedia Processors, Vinno-III-Linux Platform

The power management integrated circuit (IC) efficiently protects an input voltage supply against potential short-circuit conditions that may occur when using a USB connection in a mobile phone, notebook computer, LCD TV, set-top box, gaming system or IP phone.

NI Unveils Power Source Measure Unit, Highest-Density PXI Switches
National Instruments (Nasdaq:NATI) announced its first PXI source measure unit (SMU) and the industry’s highest-density PXI switches. These products further enhance the PXI platform for use in precision DC applications, such as semiconductor parametric tests and electronic device and component validation. LG Electronics Selects Synopsys’ DFT MAX Scan Compression Solution
Synopsys, Inc. (NASDAQ: SNPS), a world leader in software and IP for semiconductor design and manufacturing, announced that LG Electronics, Inc. has deployed Synopsys’ DFT MAX scan compression solution to significantly increase test quality for a 65-nanometer (nm) HDTV design.
