Wavecom Introduces Q64 Wireless CPU
Wavecom SA (Paris:AVM) (NASDAQ:WVCM) (ISIN:FR0000073066), announced the introduction of the Q64 Wireless CPU®, an enhanced version of the GR64 that is powered by Wavecom’s Wireless Microprocessor® WMP100. According to Philippe Guillemette, Wavecom Marketing VP, “The Q64 will have a host of new features in the same popular, robust form factor as the GR64 thus facilitating integration into existing customer product designs. Customers appreciating the benefits of the GR64 will be able to continue using the form factor while taking advantage of the Open AT® Software Suite, without discarding existing design efforts.”

BSQUARE to Distribute Solidcore’s S3 Control Embedded Software
BSQUARE Corporation (Nasdaq:BSQR), a leading provider of embedded solutions, and Solidcore® Systems, Inc., a leading provider of real-time change control software, announced at the National Retail Federation (NRF) Annual Convention the signing of a strategic distribution agreement under which BSQUARE will distribute Solidcore’s S3 Control Embedded(tm) software to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). As a result, BSQUARE becomes an authorized distributor of Solidcore’s S3 Control Embedded software, and the exclusive distributor of the software in North America.

2008 FTF Green Design Challenge Features $61,000 in Prizes
The registration deadline for the 2008 Freescale Technology Forum (FTF) Design Challenge Americas is January 31, 2008. Aeroflex 6113 Basestation Protocol Test System Gains Wideband AMR Support
Aeroflex has announced the addition of Wideband AMR (Wideband Adaptive Multi-Rate) support to its highly successful 6113 AIME basestation protocol test system. The new test capability relates to the 3GPP TS45.003 test specification. The new Wideband AMR codecs (TCH/WFS12.65, TCH/WFS8.85, TCH/WFS6.60) build on existing narrow band AMR technology and their introduction will significantly improve the quality of voice services due to the wider speech bandwidth used.
