TimeSys Offers LinuxLink Subscriptions for MIPS 74K Processor Cores
TimeSys Corporation, the leading service provider to developers in the embedded Linux market, announced the availability of LinuxLink subscriptions for the MIPS32® 74K(TM) family of processor cores. This high performance processor core is a new addition to the MIPS® 32-bit line of processor cores. Through the collaboration between MIPS and TimeSys, customers can build their own custom Linux software platforms using the MIPS32 74K core.

Arrow, Luminary Micro to Host Seminars in India

Aeroflex Launches PXI 3000 Configurable RF Test Platform

STMicroelectronics Introduces 600W High-Temperature Clamping Diode
STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM) announced a 600W peak-pulse-power clamping diode, capable of operating at up to 175 degrees C junction temperature. The clamping diode is the first 600W 10/1000-microsecond device in the industry to be available in the compact SMA package. The new SMA6J series is designed to protect sensitive electronic equipment in all industry sectors against electrostatic discharge (ESD) and power surges, meeting IEC and MIL STD standards, and is available in both unidirectional and bidirectional versions. The new diodes feature exceptionally low leakage currents, making them ideal for battery-powered products.
