TriQuint Semiconductor Acquires Peak Devices
TriQuint Semiconductor (Nasdaq:TQNT), a leading manufacturer of wireless products, announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Peak Devices, Inc. of Boulder, Colorado, in a cash transaction expected to close within the quarter. Peak Devices is a privately held, fabless semiconductor company with a highly experienced RF team that focuses on RF discrete transistor technology. Its market segments include 2-Way Communications, FM and Television Broadcast, Telecommunications, Avionics, Radar, and Military.

Analog Devices, Avnet Debut Embedded Processing/DSP, Signal Chain Workshop
Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), and Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) announce two new SpeedWay Design Workshops(TM) featuring Embedded Processing/DSP and Signal Chain solutions. The new workshops provide detailed presentations and hands-on labs covering specific applications using ADI’s technologies. Mentor, IBM Port Nucleus OS, EDGE Developer Suite for Cell Broadband Engine
