SofTec Microsystems unveils a new model of the FlashRunner series of production in-system programmers. FlashRunner FR01M01 has been designed for multiple-panel board programming and provides connections for up to eight panels thanks to its built-in ISP lines multiplexing.
Atmel Rolls Out New 32-pin picoPower AVR Microcontrollers
Atmel(R) Corporation (Nasdaq: ATML), announced a new family of 32-pin picoPower(TM) AVR(R) microcontrollers. The ATmega48P/88P/168P/328P devices have 4, 8, 16 and 32 Kbytes of Flash memory, respectively. These devices consume as little as 340 uA in active mode at 1.8V running from the internal RC oscillator at 1 MHz, 650 nA in power-save mode with real time counter running, and 100 nA in power-down mode. picoPower AVRs are pin-, performance-, and code-compatible with existing AVR microcontrollers.

Intel Certifies Samsung’s 50nm-class, 1Gb DDR2 DRAM

UK Government Awards Grant to RF Engines
RF Engines Limited (RFEL), the specialists in high performance signal processing design, has won another research grant from the UK Government. This latest grant by the South East Development Agency (SEEDA) is to undertake research into a novel and flexible receiver architecture that is reconfigurable ‘on-the-fly’. The project draws on RFEL’s world-leading techniques in signal processing on FPGAs and world class RF design expertise.
