DSM Computer’s 96M4271o industrial module is equipped with a Merom 2.16 GHz processor (T7400) and features the Intel(R) 945GM and ICH7-M chipsets. The Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor is able to access the main memory with a maximum capacity of 2 GB via a 667/533 MHz front side bus (socket 479). The 338 x 122 mm card is also available with Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo/Solo or Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processors for less intensive applications.
The internal PCI Express Bus ensures high performance with low CPU load for LAN and graphics applications. The PICMG 1.0 bus interface includes 16-bit ISA and 32-bit PCI. A reliable 10/100/1000 Base T/TX Full Duplex network connection can be made via two RJ45 connections on the basis of the (2x) Intel(R) 82573L Gigabit Ethernet LAN controller. Four USB 2.0 ports and numerous serial and parallel interfaces ensure a wide range of input/output possibilities.
The Intel(R) 950 VGA Graphic Media Accelerator integrated into the CPU card provides excellent resolution of up to 2048 x 1536 pixels with a refresh rate of 75 Hz. As a result of Intel’s Dynamic Video Memory Technology, the dynamic share system memory can be configured in a flexible way. Internally, LVDS, DVI and TV Out connections are available on the module. An ALC655 Realtek controller and an AC’97 codec ensure all audio functions.
A serial ATA interface is implemented on the fast slot CPU for two SATA 150 drives for the storage of large amounts of data. In addition, two enhanced IDE drives, two type IIIA mini PCI slots and a compact flash can be connected via an internal IIA socket.
The 96M4271o slot CPU card is implemented for the Windows XP operating system. Trouble-free startup is provided by the integrated Award System BIOS in flash ROM with VGA BIOS. The system hardware monitor ensures the error-free functioning of the specified board between 0 and 60 °C and also monitors the voltage and temperature thresholds as well as correct functioning of the fan.
