Rockwell Automation Acquires Industrial Control Services, ICS Triplex
Rockwell Automation, Inc. (NYSE:ROK) announced that it has acquired Industrial Control Services Group Limited which does business as ICS Triplex. As first announced on May 25, 2007, the deal is valued at £110 million (British pounds) in cash. The process of delivering cash to ICS shareholders will continue through August, 2007.

Semiconductor Chip Sales Grow by 2.4% to $20.3 Billion in May
Worldwide sales of semiconductors of $20.3 billion in May were 2.4 percent higher than the $19.8 billion reported for May of 2006, and 1.2 percent higher than the $20.0 billion reported for April 2007, the Semiconductor Industry Association (SIA) reported.

Femto Forum Forms to Promote Femtocell Standardization, Deployment
The Femto Forum launched to support and promote femtocell deployment worldwide. The Femto Forum is an independent, not-for-profit membership organisation with founding members including Airvana, ip.access, NETGEAR, picoChip, RadioFrame, Tatara and Ubiquisys. Additional members will be made public in the coming months.

Cypress’s PSoC CapSense Enables Touch-Sensitive Washers, Water Heaters
Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:CY) announced that its PSoC(R) CapSense(TM) solution enables the touch sensing interface inside multiple models of Haier washing machines and water heaters. The CapSense solution provides Haier a sleek interface attractive to consumers, while eliminating the deterioration experienced with mechanical buttons and switches.

Saifun Acquires IP, 90nm Process Expertise from SMIC
Semiconductor Manufacturing International Corporation (“SMIC”; NYSE: SMI; HKSE: 981), one of the leading semiconductor foundries in the world, and Saifun Semiconductors Ltd. (Nasdaq: SFUN), a provider of intellectual property solutions for the non-volatile memory (NVM) market, announced that the two companies have signed an agreement whereby Saifun will acquire the IP and know-how of 90nm process technology. This IP purchase is the first part of a development cooperation which will continue to the next generation of advanced technologies.

Immersion Licenses VibeTonz Tactile Feedback to Nokia
Immersion Corporation (NASDAQ:IMMR), a leading developer and licensor of touch feedback technology, announced that Nokia Corporation (NYSE:NOK) has obtained a long-term, worldwide license for Immersion’s VibeTonz(R) tactile feedback system for mobile devices. The license gives Nokia, the world’s leading mobile device manufacturer, the rights to use VibeTonz technology to enhance mobile device operation.

Future Electronics to Distribute Digi Embedded Modules, Microprocessors
Digi International (NASDAQ:DGII) announced a new distribution agreement with Future Electronics, Inc., a leading distributor of electronic and electro-mechanical components. Future Electronics will now promote, supply and support Digi embedded modules and microprocessors in North America, South America and the Pacific Rim.

Actel Expands in Europe with Melchioni
Extending the reach of its low-power, flash-based programmable technologies, Actel Corporation (NASDAQ: ACTL) announced that it has broadened the company’s extensive sales network in Europe with the addition of Melchioni as a new distributor and strategic partner. Responsible for distribution and technical support, Melchioni will drive new business and increase market penetration for Actel’s field-programmable gate arrays (FPGAs) and programmable system chips (PSCs) in key consumer, automotive, telecommunications, and industrial accounts in Italy.
