QUALCOMM Announces BREW Client 4-Series
QUALCOMM Incorporated (Nasdaq: QCOM), a leading developer and innovator of advanced wireless technologies and mobile data solutions, announced its new BREW(R) Client 4-Series, which delivers a new BREW Client architecture for wireless devices that meets the evolving market needs for a deeply integrated application execution environment.

MagnaChip Reduces Chip Size with Circuit-Under-Pad Technology
MagnaChip Semiconductor Ltd., a leading global designer, developer and manufacturer of image sensor solutions, mixed-signal and digital multimedia semiconductors, announced that it successfully applied circuit-under-pad (CUP) technology to its foundry business processes, to further reduce semiconductor chip sizes. MagnaChip applied the technology to its 0.18/0.16 um process and was able to reduce chip size by placing the I/O circuit on the unused area under the pad.

Measurement Computing Creates High Speed USB Modules
Measurement Computing Corporation, the market leader in low-cost data acquisition, announced the release of two high-speed additions to their growing USB product line: the USB-1608HS and the USB-1608HS-2AO. These new USB-based DAQ modules provide true simultaneous data capture of up to eight channels of 16-bit single ended or differential analog input at 250 kHz per channel. Both units include 16 bits of digital I/O and an extensive suite of software. The USB-1608HS-2AO has an additional two channels of 16-bit analog output with a range of -10 to +10 volts. At a list price of $1,199 for the USB-1608HS, and $1,399 for the USB-1608HS-2AO, these new high-performance DAQ modules offer unprecedented value.

Reliable Software Conference Features Rapitime Timing Analysis
If you think that even an older microprocessor might process over 20 million lines of software code in a second, then it is easy to believe that when analysing code that can be processed so fast, it is actually very difficult for software engineers to predict its behaviour. In systems that require time critical control and very high reliability, engineers have to know how the software is behaving and how long every process takes to complete. The phrase ‘worst case execution time’ (wcet), is a very important parameter to software engineers and in some circumstances being able to determine it accurately can mean the difference between success and failure of the product.

Excel Software Ships MacTranslator OSX 2.0
Excel Software began shipping MacTranslator 2.0 for generating graphic models from source code. This major upgrade adds PHP support and namespaces for other languages to organize captured code design. PHP is a modern language for web site development that supports procedural and object-oriented programming with integrated database support. UML class diagrams show PHP classes, interfaces, relationships and class member details. Structure charts show the hierarchical structure of function calls for each thread of execution. MacTranslator scans PHP source code to extract design information to a text file that is imported into the MacA&D modeling tool to generate models.
