Magma Offers Royalty-Free Patent License for Power-Aware EDA Tools
Magma(R) Design Automation Inc. (Nasdaq: LAVA), a provider of semiconductor design software, announced the availability of a patent license that allows electronic design automation (EDA) software developers to implement power-aware EDA tools based on concepts and claims in a Magma patent application that describes automated design of integrated circuits (ICs) with multiple voltage domains. This royalty-free, non-reciprocal license provides EDA developers and their end users with open access to fundamental low-power design technology.

Atmel Rolls Out Development Kit for CryptoMemory
Atmel(R) Corporation (Nasdaq:ATML), announced the release of the AT88SC-DK1 development kit for its CryptoMemory(R), an advanced cryptographic family of memory products. Current CryptoMemory development requires developers to understand details of the cryptography and associated cryptographic algorithms of the CryptoMemory device in order to perform mutual authentication, data encryption, and generation of encrypted Message Authentication Codes (MAC) for secure communication with the device. AT88SC-DK1 simplifies the application development process by providing a library that completely implements host cryptographic operations required for secure communication with CryptoMemory devices.

Cadence Announces Virtuoso Multi-Mode Simulation

UMC, Mentor Graphics Team on Calibre YieldAnalyzer DFM Flow

LTX Creates New DSP Instruments for X-Series Test Systems
