Accellera Approves Co-Emulation Modeling Interface Standard
Accellera, the electronics industry organization focused on electronic design automation (EDA) standards, announced that its Board of Directors, representing systems, semiconductor and design tool member companies, approved Accellera's Standard Co-Emulation Modeling Interface (SCE-MI) 2.0 specification as an Accellera verification standard. A previous version of the standard, SCE-MI 1.1, was approved by the Accellera Board in April 2005. The work on the standard was done by Accellera's Interface Technical Committee (ITC).

GDA, AMD Create Home Cinema Reference Design

C2 Microsystems Integrates On2 TrueMotion Codecs into Media Processor
On2 Technologies, (Amex: ONT) a leader in video compression software and solutions, and C2 Microsystems, Inc., the leading developer of fully programmable media processor for low cost, high performance and networked media, announced that they have reached an agreement under which C2 Microsystems will incorporate On2's market leading TrueMotion codecs into its CC1100 media processor and integrated media framework.

VeriSilicon Extends Partnership with ARM
VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. (VeriSilicon) and ARM [(LSE: ARM); Nasdaq:ARMHY}], announced that VeriSilicon has licensed the ARM926EJ-S(TM) processor. K-micro Adopts TSMC 90nm Embedded Ram for Digital TV Devices
K-micro (Kawasaki Microelectronics, Inc.) and Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. (TSE: 2330) (NYSE: TSM) (TSMC), revealed that K-micro has successfully launched its digital television (DTV) semiconductor product line using TSMC's 90nm embedded DRAM (eDRAM) technology. The new ASIC line addresses increased market demand for a high performance single chip, cost-effective format that features low power consumption coupled with high bandwidth.

SMIC Attends US-China Hi-Tech Cooperation Forum
Semiconductor Manufacturing International Company ("SMIC", NYSE: SMI; SEHK: 981) participated in the Signing Ceremony of Contracts and Agreements between U.S. and Chinese Companies and the U.S.-China Hi-Tech Cooperation Forum held in San Francisco, California.
