Chip Estimate Rolls Out InCyte for Pre-RTL Performance Analysis
Chip Estimate Corp. announced the release of technology that enables performance analysis at the earliest phase of the chip design cycle. The flagship InCyte(TM) product now provides users quantifiable feedback regarding the feasibility of achieving various performance targets for their chip. The new analysis capability is technology node, process and IP specific. Users can now make better decisions regarding chip architecture tradeoffs to minimize the risk of missing performance goals, and to push the limits of technology with greater success.

Renesas Adopts SOUNDabout for Bluetooth Audio Products
Open Interface North America (OINA) announced the adoption and integration of its SOUNDabout Suite by Japan’s Renesas Technology Corp., a world leader in intelligent chip solutions. Renesas Technology Corp. will release the SOUNDabout(R) Suite, a software development kit (SDK) for use with its 32-bit SuperH(TM) Family SH-4A, SH-2A, and SH3-DSP microprocessors. SOUNDabout will enable the development of CD-quality Bluetooth wireless audio products and will be available in Japan beginning May 2007.

Hynix First to Receive Validation for DDR3 Memory
Hynix Semiconductor, Inc. (‘Hynix’ or ‘the Company’) announced it has received the industry’s first validation on its DDR3 memory components and modules from Intel. Hynix’s newly-validated DDR3 products are 1 Gigabit DDR3 SDRAM component manufactured on the Company’s leading edge 80nm process technology, 1 Gigabyte and 2 Gigabyte DDR3 Unbuffered-DIMMs. These devices boast operating speeds of 800MHz and 1066MHz at 1.5V power supply — the fastest in the industry. These speeds are offered in latency combinations of 5-5-5 and 6-6-6 for 800MHz, and 7-7-7 for 1066MHz, to suit the needs of a wide range of PCs, workstations and other applications.
