Alereon Drives Wireless USB Applications
Alereon, Inc., the ultrawideband (UWB) technology leader for mobile WiMedia and solutions based on Certified Wireless USB, is partnering with leading digital camera vendors to demonstrate exciting new Wireless USB (WUSB) applications for the digital photography market. Emerson Unveils 97% Efficient Intermediate Bus Converters
Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), launched two intermediate bus converters (IBCs) that are capable of delivering exceptionally high levels of usable output power with a conversion efficiency of 97%. Forming the latest additions to the Artesyn family of high power density IBCs, the products comprise a 300 Watt eighth-brick and a 642 Watt quarter-brick.

Fujitsu Creates 2.5 7,200 RPM 3.0 Gb/s Serial ATA Hard Disk Drive
Fujitsu Limited announced the development of the new MHW2 BJ series of world’s first[1] 7,200 rpm 2.5″ hard disk drives (HDDs) with a serial ATA 3.0 Gb/s interface[2]. Featuring the world’s highest storage capacity of 160 GB[3] for a 7,200 rpm 2.5″ HDD, the new series is targeted primarily at high-performance notebook PCs. The new series will be available on global basis at the end of May, 2007.

DVS to Showcases 4K in Real Time at NAB
DVS products will be showcased with their new feature sets at the DVS booth SL2608. The turnkey systems CLIPSTER(R), Pronto2K.2/ProntoHD.2, DVS-SAN, as well as Spycer(R) are equipped with high-resolution film sequences for product demos. The OEM boards are available with a new SDK. Interested customers can determine on location how the boards “made in Germany” optimize the systems of other manufacturers.

EVE Names Keith Hopkins as VP of Worldwide Sales
EVE named Keith Hopkins to the position of Vice President of Worldwide Sales, reporting to Dr. Luc Burgun, its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and President. He will be based in EVE-USA’s San Jose, Calif., headquarters. Hopkins has most recently held the title of Vice President of Sales at Denali Software Inc. (2000-2003) and Artisan Components, now part of ARM Ltd (2004-2007).
