Methode Electronics Acquires TouchSensor Technologies
Methode Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ:METH), a global manufacturer of electronic components and subsystem devices, announced that it has acquired one hundred percent of the member interest of TouchSensor Technologies, LLC from Gemtron Corporation for $65 million in cash and assumed liabilities. Gemtron Corporation is owned by SCHOTT North America and AFG Industries.

Leadis Technology Acquires Mondowave
Leadis Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: LDIS), a leading mixed-signal semiconductor developer of display driver ICs for small panel color displays, announced the acquisition of Mondowave Inc., a privately held analog semiconductor company specializing in low-power consumer audio applications. Mondowave, headquartered in Mountain View, California, has announced sampling of an industry leading low-power CODEC and an FM transmitter, targeting portable music players, and expects to start mass production in the second half of 2007. Mondowave has approximately ten patents in progress pertaining to their technology, including what they believe is a revolutionary amplifier technology that facilitates very low power dissipation.

Cypress Capacitive Sensing Interface Webinar
Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:CY) announced that it will host a free online seminar that explores capacitive sensing interfaces. The 60-minute seminar entitled “Innovations in Capacitive Interfaces,” will be presented in conjunction with CMP Media’s Electronic Engineering Times on Wednesday, March 7 at 9:00 a.m. PST.

Kontron Rolls Out ETX-CN8 Multimedia Computer-On-Module
Kontron introduced the RoHS-compliant Kontron ETX-CN8 multimedia Computer-On-Module, the company’s third ETX(R) 3.0-compliant module since the official launch of the ETX 3.0 specification. The long term available Kontron ETX-CN8 module is based on VIA C7(R) or the new Eden(R) processors scalable from 400MHz up to 1,5GHz, as well as the latest and future-proved VIA CN800 and VIA VT8237R+ chipset.

Tundra, Enea Send Interprocess Communications Over RapidIO
