Blaze DFM Merges with Aprio Technologies
Blaze DFM, the electrical DFM company, announced that they have signed a letter of intent to merge with Aprio Technologies, a technology leader in providing design for manufacturability (DFM) solutions to the semiconductor industry. The integration of Aprio's analysis and simulation engines into the Blaze product line enables Blaze to offer the industry's only comprehensive electrical DFM solution. Financial terms of the agreement were not announced. The merger is expected to be finalized within the next few weeks.

Magma Drops Anti-Trust Claims Against Synopsys
Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq: SNPS) announced that Magma Design Automation has requested that the Court dismiss all antitrust claims against Synopsys. In return, Synopsys agrees not to pursue Magma for malicious prosecution or any other claims related to making these anti-competitive accusations against Synopsys. The Court has been asked to dismiss all of these claims 'with prejudice,' meaning they cannot be revived.
