• eInfochips Debuts AMBA AHB Verification Component for Mentor Graphics QVP
  eInfochips, Inc., a leading IP leveraged design services company offering silicon design and verification services, IP cores and embedded systems solutions, announced the availability of AMBA AHB Verification component for the Mentor Graphics(R) Questa(TM) Vanguard program. AMBA AHB verification IP provides necessary building blocks for efficient design-under-test (DUT) for module and system-level verification, including comprehensive assertion testing. Through the Questa Vanguard program, eInfochips will provide verification IP options to help build an established, comprehensive SystemVerilog community for the Questa advanced verification platform user.
• CoWare, VeriSilicon Team on ESL Design Solution for ZSP Processors
  CoWare(R), Inc., the leading supplier of platform-driven electronic system-level (ESL) design software and services, and VeriSilicon Holdings Co., Ltd. (VeriSilicon), a leading world class ASIC design foundry and semiconductor IP provider, announced they have formed a partnership to provide a stronger ESL design solution for the ZSP processor families including the ZSP400 and ZSP500. VeriSilicon chose to work with CoWare after it recently acquired the ZSP division of LSI Logic and consequently became a provider of digital signal processors.
• TI Creates Battery Management Chips for Multi-Cell, Li-Ion Packs
  Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) introduced several new battery management integrated circuits (ICs), including its next-generation Impedance Track(TM) "gas gauge" chipset, to improve battery performance and protect multi-cell, lithium-based battery packs used in notebooks and other systems.
• VMETRO Ships Phoenix M6000 VXS Intelligent I/O Controller
  VMETRO is now delivering the Phoenix M6000 VXS (VITA-41) intelligent I/O controller with dual PMC/XMC sites to customers. Phoenix is a family of innovative products designed to enable system solutions for real-time multi-processors with high-speed serial communications. Being VXS enabled, the Phoenix M6000 can easily integrate into VMETRO's existing Phoenix VXS systems to provide an embedded system controller (with a PowerPC 440SP CPU), intelligent PMC/XMC carrier, or high-performance data recording blade.
• AXIOMTEK Rolls Out GOT Slim Fanless Touch Panel Computers
  AXIOMTEK has announced a series of GOT (Graphic Operator Terminal) systems to complement its fanless touch panel computer product line. The company is a leading supplier of applied computing platforms for advanced communication, industrial and human machine interface applications. These new 10.4" and 12.1" fanless touch panel computers embrace mutual major traits including a slim modern design, wide temperature support (-20°C to +55°C), high brightness (600 nits) LCD, and anti-vibration (1.3G). • Ramtron Recieves AEC-Q100 Qualification for FM25C160 16Kbit SPI FRAM
  Ramtron International Corporation (Nasdaq: RMTR), a leading developer and supplier of non-volatile ferroelectric random access memory (FRAM) and integrated semiconductor products, has announced that its FM25C160 - a 16Kbit, 5V, SPI FRAM memory device - has been qualified to AEC-Q100 (Automotive Electronic Council's Stress Test Qualification for Integrated Circuits) standards. The FM25C160 is the third FRAM device to be AEC-Q100-qualified as part of its aggressive automotive qualification programme. Ramtron is also currently developing various FRAM configurations specified for the Grade 1 (-40 degrees to 125 degrees C) operating range.
• AWR, DuPont Introduce LTCC PDK for Microwave Office Design Suite
  Applied Wave Research, Inc. (AWR(R)) and DuPont Microcircuit Materials, part of DuPont Electronic Technologies, announced the availability of a process design kit (PDK) that enables radio-frequency (RF), microwave, and millimeter wave designers to access the DuPont(TM)GreenTape(TM) low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology within AWR's Microwave Office(R) 2006 software.
• NexusChips Licenses MoSys 1T-SRAM for Advanced Mobile Handhelds
  MoSys, Inc. (NASDAQ: MOSY), the industry's leading provider of high-density system-on-chip (SoC) embedded memory solutions, and NexusChips Co. Ltd, a leader in high-performance 3D graphics chips for mobile handhelds, announced a licensing agreement whereby NexusChips will utilize MoSys 1T-SRAM technology to enable mobile handheld applications that have not been possible with previous memory technologies. NexusChips GiPump 3D graphics accelerators and mobile stereoscopic display features are enabled by the dense, low-power technology offered in the MoSys 1T-SRAM. The NexusChips application in consumer mobile expands upon MoSys' application in home entertainment and mobile multimedia.
• LogicVision Upgrades ETAccess for Fast Silicon Bring-Up, Diagnostics
  LogicVision, Inc. (NASDAQ: LGVN), a leading provider of semiconductor test and yield learning solutions, announced the release of a new production version of the ETAccess family of products, offering integrated data-logging capabilities for LogicVision's line of ETCreate design for test (DFT) IP for memory and logic. This new release introduces two major components; ETProduction and ETDiagnostics, each offering semiconductor designers fast debugging and silicon bring-up capabilities. Both components offer seamless integration to popular Automatic Test Equipment such as the recently announced integration with Teradyne test systems.
• Portwell Debuts Single-DIN In-Vehicle Embedded Car PC Infotainment System
  American Portwell Technology, Inc., a member of the Intel(R) Communications Alliance (ICA), announces its PCS-8220, an Intel proof-of-concept single-DIN in-vehicle embedded Car PC infotainment system. Based on the Intel ECX (Embedded Compact Extended) form factor, Portwell's PCS-8220 supports multiple infotainment interfaces — including integrated DVB-T/FM tuner, Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS — to meet the requirements of applications such as audio and video media, navigation, Internet access and email. The unit also supports dual-display for CRT, LVDS or TV-out. The PCS-8220 debuted at the recent Fall 2006 Intel Developer Forum (IDF) held in Taipei, Taiwan and Shanghai, China.
• Alsanbo Selects OMRON Control Components for Sun-Tracking System
  OMRON Corporation (TSE: 6645; ADR: OMRNY; "OMRON"), a global leader in sensing and control technologies, announced that its control components have been used in a sun-tracking solar power system situated near to Madrid, Spain. The system was installed by Electricidad Alsanbo S.A. ("Alsanbo"), a Spanish systems integrator.
• ACCES I/O Unveils Compact USB Optically Isolated I/O Modules
  ACCES I/O Products, Inc. is pleased to announce another addition to its successful line of USB embedded data acquisition modules—Model USB-IIRO4-2SM. This dense multifunction device incorporates four optically isolated digital inputs, four Form C (SPDT) electromechanical relay outputs, and two RS-232/422/485 serial communication ports-all packaged in a small, rugged, industrial enclosure.
