  • TI TMS470 Automotive MCUs Offer Higher Integration and Performance
    Addressing the increasing complexity of highly integrated body applications, Texas Instruments (TI) (NYSE:TXN) announced the sampling of the TMS470PLFx1 generation of software and pin-to-pin compatible automotive MCUs. These are the first TI MCUs to incorporate a comprehensive set of intelligent peripherals dedicated to body applications and offer a high degree of message handling capabilities.

(Nasdaq:MIPS) today announced instant, easy access to a series of jointly developed Core-Optimized IP Kits via Virage Logic’s website.   • Celestica, Freescale, Wavesat Offer Production-Ready WiMAX Reference Design
    Customer premises equipment (CPE) manufacturers can now deliver WiMAX-enabled products to market even faster with a production-ready reference design from Freescale Semiconductor (NYSE:FSL) (NYSE:FSL.B), Wavesat and Celestica. Celestica, a world leader in electronics manufacturing services (EMS), has joined a pre-existing collaboration between Freescale and Wavesat to enhance a comprehensive platform for the rapid creation of WiMAX-enabled products.   • WIN Enterprises Unveils SOM ETX Module with AMD Geode LX800 Processor
    WIN Enterprises, Inc., a leading designer and manufacturer of embedded controllers and platforms for OEMs, announces the MB-07302, an ETX system on module (SOM) featuring the AMD(R) Geode(TM) LX800 processor. The SOM-ETX module (95 mm x 144 mm) attaches to a larger standardized carrier board to provide OEMs with speed and flexibility in bringing products to market with different processors.
