  • Digital Angel Receives Patent for Glucose-Sensing RFID Microchip
    The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office has granted Digital Angel Corporation (AMEX: DOC) a patent for its syringe-implantable glucose-sensing RFID microchip, Digital Angel announced today. The RFID microchip measures the glucose concentration levels of diabetic patients and will be marketed and distributed by Digital Angel’s sister company, VeriChip, as an extension to the company’s products benefiting people.
  • SYSGO Unveils ELinOS Real-Time Industrial Hard Real-Time Embedded Linux
    SYSGO, the European vendor of reliable device software, today announced the release of ELinOS Real-Time, SYSGO’s Industrial Grade hard real-time Linux solution.   • Synopsys Links PCI Express to AMBA 2.0 AHB with Designware Bridge
    Synopsys, Inc. (Nasdaq:SNPS), a world leader in semiconductor design software, today announced the availability of the DesignWare(R) Bridge for PCI Express to AMBA 2 AHB intellectual property (IP) linking between the PCI Express standard to the AMBA(R) 2.0 AHB(TM) protocol.     Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) today announced that all development kits supporting its latest generation of FPGAs and CPLDs are compliant with the European Union’s (EU) Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive. Altera offers 10 RoHS-compliant development kits that support the Stratix(R) II, Stratix II GX and Cyclone(R) II FPGA families, and MAX(R) II CPLDs.
  • MaxStream XBee XTender Wireless Bridge ZigBee Extends Range to 40 Miles
    MaxStream(R) today announced the availability of the XBee XTender(TM) wireless bridge that extends the range of ZigBee(TM) and 802.15.4 networks up to 40 miles.
