  • Seminar: How to Quickly Complete Designs with PSoC Express
    Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:CY) today announced that it will present seminars for designers interested in learning about Cypress’s PSoC Express code-free, visual development software. The free seminars will include a general overview of Cypress’s PSoC(R) (Programmable System-on-Chip(TM)) mixed-signal array architecture as well as technical PSoC Express training.
  • TI Debuts 26-Watt PoE Controller for IP Surveillance Cameras and Phones
    Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) today introduced a 26-watt Power over Ethernet (PoE) controller that allows Ethernet-powered devices, such as IP surveillance cameras, WiMAX access points and conference IP phones, to use twice as much power from a standard Ethernet cable – without the need of an AC line. TI will demonstrate the new power management integrated circuit (IC) in a high-power PoE reference design at the ASIS International security conference in San Diego, September 25-28.

    BAE Systems has conducted and successfully completed a series of flight tests using VMETRO’s SANbric Rugged Storage System. The SANbric provides storage for high speed data recording, archival, and playback analysis of flight test data acquired during deployment of an imaging system. During the tests, the SANbric storage module and shock isolation unit were mounted in an imaging system pod in the pallet bay of the aircraft.
