ChipX Structured ASICs

ChipX offers the broadest portfolio of Structured ASICs with five families comprised of more than 50 individual targeted slices. ChipX slices are built on technology from 0.6µ through 0.13µ and use standard ASIC flow design tools. Targeted for consumer, industrial, networking, medical, military and aerospace, ChipX has a slice that’s ideal for every designer. Here are their Structured ASICs:

  • CX6100
    The CX6100 product family combines a built-in, silicon proven, industry standard PHY for PCI Express with the well-proven X-Cell(TM) Structured ASIC architecture, to provide industry-leading performance using the UMC eight-metal high-speed 0.13µ deep sub-micron process. Tested prototypes can be delivered in 4-5 weeks and production parts in 10-12 weeks.
  • CX6200
    The CX6200 product family combines built-in, silicon proven, industry standard PHYs for USB 2.0 Hi-Speed On-the-Go (OTG) with the well-proven X-Cell(TM) Structured ASIC architecture, to provide industry-leading performance using the UMC eight-metal high-speed 0.13µ deep sub-micron process. Tested prototypes can be delivered in 4-5 weeks and production parts in 10-12 weeks.
  • CX5000
    The CX5000 Structured ASIC family is based on 0.18µ technology using 3 layers of programmable metal, and supports performance levels up to 200 MHz. The 0.18µ CX5000 is a Structured ASIC that utilizes the combination of advanced metal programmable gate array technology and an optimized EDA system to implement high performance ASIC designs while reducing application tooling costs and design turnaround time. ASIC designers using the CX5000 are able to meet or exceed their design schedules and budgets without compromising technical objectives.
  • CX4000
    The CX4000 Structured ASIC family is based on 0.25µ technology using 3 layers of programmable metal, and supports performance levels up to 125 MHz. This family is targeted at a variety of medium performance applications in the consumer, industrial, medical and aerospace markets. The CX4000 combines the reliability and low cost advantages of mature silicon manufacturing technology with the fast design turnaround time of ChipX’s Structured ASIC technology. The CX4000 family is ideal for ground-up digital ASIC designs, FPGA replacements and obsolete component re-targeting projects.
  • CX3000
    The CX3000 Structured ASIC family is based on 0.35µ technology using 2 layers of programmable metal, and supports performance levels up to 50 MHz. This family offers cost-effective solutions for designs with legacy requirements such as 5V tolerance. Using ChipX’s innovative architecture, low cost and rapid design turnaround time are built-in. The CX3000 product services those applications requiring 5V capability in the networking, industrial, military and aerospace markets.
  • CX2000
    The CX2000 Structured ASIC family is based on 0.6µ technology using 2 layers of programmable metal, and supports performance up to 50 MHz. This family is favored for legacy applications with industrial and military customers for its proven reliability, 5V operation and radiation resistance. This mature family has a long established record of reliability and a long future for assured supply continuity.
