Congatec Debuts conga-TS67 COM Express Basic Module

congatec AG introduced the conga-TS67 COM Express Basic module. The conga-TS67 is available in the second-generation low-power Intel Core processors — from the Intel Celeron 807UE processor (1M Cache, 1.0 GHz) with only 10 Watt TDP to the Intel Core i7 2610UE dual core processor (4M Cache, 1.50 GHz) with 17 Watt TDP. The congatec COM Express Basic module is ideal for gaming, medical technology, automation and digital signage applications. The conga-TS67 is available now. Prices start at $500 US.

E-con Systems e-CAMNT_35x_GSTIX Camera Board

E-con Systems introduced their e-CAMNT_35x_GSTIX camera board, which is a NTSC/PAL decoder board for the Gumstix Overo computer-on-module series. It interfaces with the Gumstix Overo COM via 27-pin FFC cable. The e-CAMNT_35x_GSTIX features two Video IN connectors RCA socket and Mini-DIN S-Video connector to support CVBS or S-Video input. The e-CAMNT_35x_GSTIX adapter board will be available this month. The NTSC/PAL adapter card is ideal for surveillance, endoscopy, low light camera and other CCD camera applications.

Habey BIS-6630 Embedded System

Habey USA announced their BIS-6630 embedded computer. The fanless BIS-6630 embedded system is based on the Intel Atom N2800 (1.83 GHz) and D2700 (2.13 Ghz) processors. The compact PC features six USBs, six COM ports, two Gigabit Ethernet, SIM socket for 3G/4G connectivity, two Mini-PCIe slots, VGA, DVI-D (up to 1920 x 1080), internal 18-bit LVDS (up to 1366 x 768 resolution), HD audio, 2.5″ SATA drive bay and mSATA option, and 12VDC power input. The Habey Cedar Trail embedded system is ideal for digital signage, building automation, NVR, point-of-sales, and other embedded and industrial applications.

BCM Advanced Research NX260N Nano-itx and MX260N Mini-itx Motherboards

BCM Advanced Research introduced the MX260N and NX260N industrial motherboards. Both boards feature the Intel N2600 1.60 GHz dual-core low-power processor, Intel NM10 express chipset, low TDP (totaling only 5 Watts), fanless operation, and DDR3 800 MHz memory. The MX260N is a full featured small form factor motherboard based on the mini-itx standard. The NX260N is a nano ITX ultra small footprint form factor motherboard. The BCM MX260N mini-itx and NX260N nano-itx industrial motherboards are ideal solutions for space constrained, battery operated, and cost conscious display applications (such as digital signage, mobile medical systems, industrial automation, portable POS, gaming, and Kiosk industries).

MSC Vertriebs Debuts Q7-TI8168 ARM based Qseven Module

MSC Vertriebs GmbH introduced the MSC Q7-TI8168 embedded module. The Q7-TI8168 module is compliant with the Qseven standard 1.20. The ARM based embedded board features a Texas Instruments Integra C6A8168 processor and an ARM Cortex-A8 core. The digital signal processor in the ARM core takes over the computing intensive image processing in real-time and unloads the ARM processor. The MSC Q7-TI8168 is ideal for demanding image processing functions in industrial automation, medicine, transportation and security systems.

E-con Systems e-CAM52_35x Camera Daughter Card

E-con Systems introduced the e-CAM52_35x camera daughter card. The e-con e-CAM52_35x plugs directly onto the Digital Video port (DVP) interface of the DM3730 processor available on the DM3730 EVM board from Texas instruments. The e-CAM52_35x daughter card features the e-CAM52_5640_MOD 5 Megapixel camera module based on OmniVision OV5640 HD CMOS Image sensor. The e-CAM52_35x daughter card is ideal for OCR, barcode readers, digital still cameras, and document visualizers. An evaluation kit will be available next month.

Axiomtek SHB213 Single Board Computer

Axiomtek rolled out the SHB213 SBC, which is a PICMG 1.3 half-size CPU card. The SHB213 single board computer supports the second generation Intel Core i7/i5/i3 processors and Intel Celeron processors. It is RoHS compliant and offers interface for RAID-capable SATA-600 and USB 3.0. The SHB213 SBC will be available at the end of March, 2012. The Axiomtek SHB213 is ideal for DVR, digital security surveillance, gaming machine, visual inspection instruments, and video server applications.

Texas Instruments introduced their MSP430F673x/F672x ultra-low-power 16-bit microcontroller family. There are 24 MCUs in the TI F673x/F672x family. The MSP430F673x/F672x microcontrollers guarantee no interruption of operation through a backup capable microcontroller supporting real-time clock (RTC) operation and power management from the main power supply and up to two separate auxiliary supplies. The new Texas Instruments devices are immediately now. Prices start at $2.00 for 1K-units.
