XtremeData develops innovative solutions for high-performance computing. Target markets include imaging, communications, bio-informatics, and enterprise computing. Example applications within those markets include medical CT image generation, reconnaissance image processing, gene sequencing, text searching, and database analytics.

XtremeData was incorporated in 2003 and has established two centers: head office and hardware development in the Chicago area, and software development in Bangalore, India. The XD1000™ product is the first of many products scheduled for roll-out in 2006 and beyond. The product line will span the range from modules, like the XD1000™, to fully-integrated, market-specific appliances.
