Simucad Design Automation was incorporated in the state of Delaware in June 2004 as a spin-off from Silvaco Data Systems, an established private California corporation founded in 1984. Simucad Design Automation acquired ownership of all Silvaco's simulation and CAD products, technology and intellectual property. Silvaco will remain a private company focusing on TCAD.
