HighTec EDV-Systeme
Founded in 1982, HighTec EDV-Systeme GmbH specializes in the integration of technical software and hardware systems. Emphasis is placed on fields at or near the production level with espescially high security and realtime requirements. HighTec works closely with partners and customers in a wide range of application fields. This ensures an extensive knowledge base and a wide product palette.
In addition to the product's technical features, customers generally choose HighTec for the comprehensive, fast support services offered with all HighTec tools.
Systems Technology
Technical systems are subject to high operating security requirements. HighTec's goal is to provide comprehensive development tools and service for all processors we support - from our small 16-bit starter kit microSys167-ETH for the Infineon C16x/ SGS Thompson ST10 controllers, to complete multiprocessor environments (e.g. on Intel x86).
1983 saw the birth of one of HighTec's key products:
- PXROS is a real time kernel with exceptional response time and security features. These characteristics have given PXROS a large application "bandwidth". In the meantime, PXROS has found its way into thousands of technical applications.
- To complement PXROS, HighTec offers an adapted GNU C/C++ cross development toolkit consisting of C/C++ compiler, assembler, linker und source level debugger. Supported processors include the Motorola MPC5xx, Infineon C16x, TriCore, SGS Thompson ST10, Intel x86 and National Semiconductors CompactRISC(tm) CR 16/32.
Market
Our customers are developers of systems that use 16- and 32-bit microcontrollers, as well as the vendors of these microcontrollers. This means that the most fundamental driver of our market is the rapid unit growth and constant price/performance improvements of advanced microcontrollers themselves.
