Established in February 1986 in Tokyo, Japan by Ryu Koriyama, Aplix Corporation is a proven innovator of Java embedded solutions for next-generation consumer device platforms. Aplix launched a host of multimedia-related products, including CD mastering systems, in 1989. The company has been highly successful in Japan's DVD-R and CD-R markets, garnering the majority of the market share. Leveraging its expertise in system device control, Aplix Corporation introduced its Java-enabled embedded software, JBlendä, in 1997. Today, Aplix Corporation sells its JBlend Java implementation to Japan's leading makers of consumer electronic products including wireless mobile devices such as Hitachi, Sanyo, Sony and other global manufacturers.
