Apache Design Solutions

Apache is a market leader in dynamic power sign-off and Silicon Integrity Platform solutions for low-power, high-performance SoC designs. Apache's innovative platform considers all sources of noise that impact the design performance, including:

  • power supply
  • leakage power
  • signal cross-coupling
  • package and system I/O
  • substrate
  • temperature

Apache enables designers of leading semiconductor and fabless companies to detect, fix, and prevent design weaknesses that can result in reduced yield or failed silicon.

Apache's mission is to deliver the most accurate and comprehensive silicon integrity solution that enable designers of nanometer SoCs to achieve higher productivity and increased yield for greater silicon success.

As designs move beyond 90nm process nodes, designers are no longer able compensate for chips nanometer affects by adding excessive margin or over-designing. Smaller process geometry result in lower operating voltage, thus lower noise margin. But smaller process geometry also increases IC noise due to higher density (more aggressors such as cell, memory, or IO) and higher frequency (more switching events). Smaller margins for noise tolerance with greater sources of noise make accurate analysis and optimization a "must have" sign-off requirement for ultra-deep submicron designs.

Apache addresses these market challenges by providing silicon integrity solutions that deliver full-chip capacity and performance, transistor-level waveform accuracy, and an easy-to-setup and easy-to-use environment for power and noise analysis and optimization of designs at 90nm and below.
