AAC was launched in August 1999 to focus on the unique requirements of the OEM market for computing technology. Formed from the OEM businesses of the Computer Marketing and Electronics Marketing Groups, Avnet Applied Computing represents in excess of a billion dollars in revenue. There are three business units in the new group: Applied Computing Components (ACC), Applied Computing Solutions (ACS) and Applied Computing Enabling Technologies (ACET).
