Wildcat : Resetting Moore's Law

To this day, this rule of thumb known as "Moore's Law" has proved to accurately predict the progress of a wide range of electronics technologies, including microprocessors and memory devices. However, if Moore's Law also applies to 3D graphics subsystems, they won't be able to deliver the level of performance that users will require into the next century. Users who wish to work in a more realistic environment and interactively manipulate photorealistic images in real-time need 3D graphics performance to exceed the levels predicted by Moore's Law.
