The Rational Unified Process - An Enabler for Higher Process Maturity

This paper highlights the key concepts that a mature organization - a Level 3 development unit - has to demonstrate and how the Rational Unified Process (RUP) components match these requirements. Both high project maturity and organization maturity are addressed. In addition, section 4 provides some good ideas to get started with the RUP and some of the major benefits observed by early adopters in various contexts are reported.
