TSG Alarm Threshold Setup
The Model 3800 Timing Signal Generator provides complete programmability of the conditions that determine if a reference input signal is considered as good or bad. This allows for setting up protection switching for operation in many different situations. The input channels available for automatic switching and the choice of revertive or non-revertive switching may be set by commands. There are programmable thresholds and response modes for intervals containing Input events (LOS, AIS, BPV, OOF), and for Phase movement (MTIE) and Frequency offset at three time intervals. Each input is monitored continuously and checked each second for input events and phase changes. This provides complete monitoring of Phase, MTIE, Frequency, and Input events on all input channels.
