The U.S. Process Level Measurement and Inventory Tank Gauging Industry

In 2000, U.S. consumption of process level measurement products is estimated to be $396 million. VDC expects that U.S. consumption will increase at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.9% through the year 2005, reaching $455.5 million. In general, level measurement devices constitute a relatively mature market in which users purchase such equipment on an a replacement or project basis. Generally, users expect these products to last a long time and often do not have planned obsolescence schedule in mind.
