Successfully Managing a Real-time Incremental Project - Part Two: Managing Change and Monitoring Progress

After laying out the initial project schedule with the help of UML artifacts, further tasks must be added to ensure that verification and validation of the requirements is properly exercised. Tasks should be allocated for prototypes of functionality and the user interface, design reviews, code reviews, testing etc - and for response to the results of these tasks. It is also important to monitor the progress of the project to ensure that it is under control. Guidance is given by author Matthew Hause on techniques for managing the project schedule, monitoring its progress, and performing updates when requirements and circumstances change.
